Walk on one of the most famous trails in the world, the Appalachian Trail. This hike takes place in an area rich with human history, scenic beauty, and
offers spectacular views of the Delaware Water Gap. We will walk along
mountain streams surrounded by mountain laurel and native plants that
thrive in the Appalachian Mountains. We also will explore a hidden waterfall, a
lake, and an area that was once home to the Lenni Lenape natives. This hike also touches on the legacy of Delaware Water Gap's
vacation boom of the 19th century- plus you will get to see how nature is recovering from
mans' impact.
Guided Hiking and Biking Tour 4-5
hours. Reservations required. $50 Per-person. This tour includes a guided hike on the Appalachian Trail, a guided bike tour of the McDade Trail, drinks, and lunch. Check for scheduled departure times. Groups can book private
tours.
The Waterfall Tour 3-4 Hours. Reservations required. $35 Per Person ($25 if combined with any other tour).
Beat
the summer heat on this trip through the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. This tour will include a 1.5 hour hike off the beaten path, through a dense old-growth forest that contains a little known gorge with a seemingly endless set of falls and rapids. We will then voyage to two different areas that are favorites among locals. Note: this trip does not go to Bushkill Falls – and be sure to bring your camera!
Off-street parking is available behind the shop. All tours require comfortable walking shoes or sport sandals. Please – no flip-flops – your toes will thank you!
